October is all about pumpkins, and with Halloween just around the corner, we’ll have plenty of locally grown ones for you to choose from in all shapes and sizes and competitively priced. Perfect for carving your spooky creations, but also ideal for making a deliciously warming soup to enjoy with some crusty bread – just what you need to keep the chill of those cooler evenings at bay. As the temperatures drop, the demand for venison rises, and we’ve got plenty to o er. From succulent cooking apples – ideal for pies, crumbles, or stewing – served with cream, ice cream, or custard for a truly comforting autumn treat. is year’s pear harvest has been excellent too, with Conference and Comice pears leading the way. We source all our apples and pears from independent growers in Devon, so when you buy from us, you’re supporting UK farmers too. e main potato crop is in, so stock up! Kept in cool, dry, and dark conditions, they’ll last for a couple of months. Available in various weights, our potatoes are competitively priced and of the highest quality, with several popular varieties to choose from. As always, e Garlic Farm’s products are in demand, and this year, our oak-smoked garlic bulbs have been ying o the shelves. Smoked over oak for a richer, fuller avour, they’re a fantastic addition to a wide variety of dishes. And if you’re feeling brave, try the ever-popular Vampire Slayer – a seriously ery chilli and garlic sauce that’s sure to heat up any Halloween feast! Entry costs £2 for adults, Brockenhurst College students and children under 16 can enter FREE. Please note that Brockenhurst College is a smoke-free, vape-free, dog-free campus.
