Harvest gives us a wonderful opportunity to pause and to say thank you for all the good gi s that we are given. At St John’s in Hythe we will be celebrating Harvest on Sunday 13th October. We will have a special Harvest themed Bubble Church at 9.30am which is ideal for families with little ones. It’s only half an hour long, packed full of lots of fun and puppets. At 10.15am we have our Morning Worship service with a short thought for the day. en, at 11.15am we have Holy Communion which will include some of your favourite harvest hymns. is year we will once again be collecting donations for Waterside Foodbank at our Harvest services. Please bring your donations of tins, packets and dry goods along on the day and we will deliver them to the Foodbank for you a er the service. MESSY CHURCH AT ST JOHN’S AND ST ANNE’S from The Parish of Hythe Messy Church – it’s church, but not as you know it! Messy Church is for all ages and re ects the creativity of God in its imaginative hands-on approach to being church together. We run Messy Church on the last Friday of the month at St John’s Hall in New Road, and the first Friday of the month at St Anne’s Church in Warrys Close. Doors open at 3.30pm so you can come straight from school, and there are a range of di erent activities you can take part in together, before story and song time. We then nish with a delicious meal, just before 5pm. You don’t need to book a space to come to Messy Church. Our upcoming Messy Church dates for the rest of this year are: Friday 4th October at St Anne’s Church, Friday 25th October at St John’s Hall, Friday 1st November at St Anne’s Church, Friday 29th November at St John’s Hall and Friday 6th December at St Anne’s Church. We’d love to see you there! BIBLE CLUB Go along with an open mind to join this Reading Group who read and discuss the Bible together, to form their own opinions about its message. Weekly on Fridays, 7pm to 8.30pm in the Totton and Eling Community Centre. Refreshments available from 6.30pm and further information from Julie: 07779 362358. Soup & Sweet Soup & Sweet at Trinity Church, Hazel Farm Road, Totton, SO40 8WU takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 12.30pm to 2pm. For £5 per person you can have soup with a bread roll followed by a sweet and a tea or co ee. Very good value in congenial company – they hope to see you there! Go along to Black eld Baptist Church (The Heart of the Village) on Sundays 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th October from 10.30am for their regular services. Everyone is welcome to join them at Hampton Lane, Black eld for their services. Hythe Spiritualist Church Hythe Spiritualist Church Independent invites you to join them every Friday night, 7pm–9.30pm, at Hythe Community Centre, Brinton Lane (SO45 6DU) for a divine service of mediumship and clairvoyance.
