Toilet facilities are also nearby. Scrapstore Chairman Marion Smee said: “Waterside Scrapstore is delighted to have moved to a new location on Sunnyfields Farm. We are extremely grateful to farmer Ian Nelson and his team for facilitating our big move. Their hard work preparing the ground, craning our cabins onto the new site as well as helping with moving and storing our stock is much appreciated. Our own team of committed volunteers also worked very hard to empty, sort, pack up and then restock our three cabins once they were relocated. I’m sure all our existing members will be impressed with our new location and we look forward to welcoming them and many new faces in the coming weeks.” Waterside Scrapstore is currently busy preparing for the Christmas Super Saturday event on 9th November from 10am to 2pm. A not-to-be-missed opportunity to pick up lots of Christmas related stock. If you are not currently a member, you can join in the shop from as little as £6 for individual annual membership. To nd the Scrapstore just follow the signs from Sunny elds main gate down the drive, the Scrapstore site is on the right, 4th parking bay down. Members can ll a large bag for just £2. e choice is vast and includes paper, cardboard, mountboard, junk modelling, corks, bottle tops, wool, fabric scraps and cardboard tubes to list just some of the items in this ‘Aladdin’s Cave’. Larger pieces of fabric are just £1 per metre, ribbon is 10p per metre and there is always something new to nd. e Scrapstore is open on Mondays from 3pm-5pm, and on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am-12noon. Waterside Scrapstore is all about recycling and diverting waste from land ll and is entirely reliant on donations from generous individuals and local businesses for all of its stock. In 2023 the Scrapstore saved over 3,400m of fabric and 1200 balls of wool from going to land ll, as well as over 1000 bags of mixed craft materials. 2024 is on track to exceed these gures! e Scrapstore is entirely run by volunteers and always welcomes more help.
