A er a successful end to the 2023-24 season with some exciting slalom racing, 7 Gold medals were awarded to members of Calshot Youth Ski Club, along with 7 Silver and 8 Bronze. Ten Snowsport England Snowlife Awards were also achieved: 7 at 4-star, 2 at 3-star and 1 at 2-star. Two members also achieved the club’s own Snow ake Award. Members are now looking forward to Fun on the slopes Members of Calshot Youth Ski Club with their medals another season starting on 7th November. e club meets on ursday evenings in the large hanger at Calshot Activities Centre, skiing at 6.45pm for a total of 19 meetings. ey do not meet during school holidays. Harvest Festival at Manor CE Infant School On Wednesday 25th September the children, sta , parents and governors of Manor Church of England Infant School in Holbury celebrated Harvest Festival. Each class planned their own part of the festival. e children in Holly Class told the story of ‘ e Little Red Hen’. e children in Chestnut Class talked about why we celebrate Harvest and Oak Class performed the song ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’. Reverend Alison spoke about ‘Harvest’ and what it means to di erent people. e The children thoroughly enjoyed the event which raised lots of money for additional resources and a whole school trip for the children in the Spring term. festival was enjoyed by all who attended. A er the worship the Assistant Headteacher, Mrs Munns, took the Year 2 School Councillors to the Waterside Foodbank to deliver the donations. e food will support families in need in the local community.
