Matt Le Tissier wowed the crowds and spent time signing shirts and having sel es taken with his many fans. e team also included Jo Tessem, Mark Blake, David Hughes, Dave Peach, Children enjoying a half time kickabout with Matt Le Tissier Matt Le Tissier and Ruth Rankin Vinnie Jones, Darren Ayres, Mike Osman, Mark Blondel, Steve Wells, Wayne Salmon, Dale Vaughan, Paul Bowers, Pete Gates, Danny Steer, Matt Plank, Alan Wade and Wayne Oakley. A staggering £1,800 was raised on the day for charity. I had the chance to speak to Matt Le Tissier a er the game, while still eating his ice cream! He said : “It has been a lovely day with a great turn out and fantastic crowd. It is the first time I have played here and it is a lovely pitch. It is good that so much has been raised for such worthwhile causes.” The crowd had a fantastic afternoon and there were old and young alike cheering on both teams. e nal score was 3-2 to Hythe Veterans.
