Sharon Burt, Head Teacher said: “We were delighted to welcome Michele and Julian to Oak Lodge Specialist Arts College for the presentation of this special award. Students have engaged in a variety of activities to learn about healthier lifestyles, safer travel for all and also understanding the need to protect the environment with reduced air pollution and vehicles on the road. Most importantly this opportunity helps us to continue promoting healthy well-being and skills to increase life long independence for our students and the wider community. In today’s society it is likely that these are two of the most important areas in education today. We hope to develop this area further and make important links to protecting the local and global environments and encourage sustainability”.
