A er enjoying three wonderful years working as Editor at e Herald, it is time for me to say goodbye. I am beginning a new adventure in Devon, looking forward to lots of fresh air and exercise and a few cream teas! is was a very di cult decision for me to make as I have loved working with such a wonderful team and I will miss them. I have enjoyed the interaction in the community as well as nding out about all the local news and passing it on to our lovely readers. I would like to say a massive thanks to everyone who has made me feel so welcome during my time here. I apologise to anyone that I have badgered with constant reminders for editorial and information, it has all been worth it! I will look forward to receiving my Herald by post and keeping up with all the local news. The Herald team is very pleased to welcome Donna Head who will be taking over as Editor from the end of August. Having spent most of her working life in the education sector, Donna is hugely passionate about making a di erence to the local community. Married into a family of bakers she will need to learn to make gluten free dog treats for Max, our Happiness and Recycling Manager! Donna who lives in Fawley is very keen to engage with the community and add her personal stamp to the role. Excited to get to know our readers Donna urges everyone to keep sharing information about local news and events. Donna will keep up with deadline reminders but please call in and have a chat with her, I hope she will be made to feel as welcome as I was. Any news stories can be emailed to editor@ herald-publishing. co.uk or posted to e Herald, 2 High Street, Hythe, SO45 6AH Left to Right: Donna Head and Ruth Rankin
