Some with their dogs, others cycling but all enjoying the amazing scenery in the area. I would certainly recommend walking any of the sections and there is plenty of history to explore as well. Thank you to my husband Mike who supported me along the way with not only all the pick-ups and drop-offs, but also joining me for motivation between Beaulieu and Hythe – I could not have done it without him. I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU for all the support and generosity that has been given to me from family, friends, Inner Wheel Clubs, and individual members. The sponsorship has helped me to raise the fabulous sum of £1,667,00 for my chosen charity, Cancer Research UK.” To discover a local Inner Wheel Club near to you please visit: www.innerwheel.co.uk Continued from front page 60 Miles Smashed for Cancer Research UK! Leading the Way in Pupil Wellbeing Noadswood School are really proud to have become the first school in Hampshire to work with Solent Mind to train pupils to become Wellbeing Ambassadors. House Leader, Louise Fitzgerald, explained, ‘The students volunteered to step up for this project and are now able to provide peer support to students across the school, safeguarded by key staff, such as their House Leaders.’ Training took place over several sessions which involved input from counsellors, role play and group discussions. e Wellbeing Ambassadors are all ages within Noadswood and o er their time to support other pupils with their wellbeing, providing a listening ear and mentoring. During the past year, students have communicated in a variety of ways, including in a recent school magazine, determined not to let lockdown get in the way of wellbeing. Headteacher, Kathryn Marshall, said, ‘ We, as staff, are enormously proud of so many students who have been helping others out, including these Ambassadors, and indeed those who ask for help. It’s really important, now more than ever, that when the students reach out for support, there’s someone to turn to, including from within the student body’.
