St Johns and Cornerstone Churches provided free Strawberries, cra activities and free face painting and tattooing, some of which was made possible through councillor community grants and Waitrose, who provided electricity for the PA system. ey even had a ‘best dressed’ competition with 2 winners! On Pylewell Road, there was a buskers stage where various performers added to the atmosphere created by the traders there, and people partied into the night. Solent MovieMakers, are planning to lm a documentary about the Southampton trams and need some help. e Southampton based moviemaking society are interested in talking to anyone who is willing to be interviewed on camera to talk about the trams, the network and anything they remember about them. Of particular interest would be people who actually worked on the tram network in any sort of capacity. Additionally, the lmmaking team would love to have access to any old photographs or memorabilia which people may have – these could be lmed or copied and incorporated in the documentary.
