Set up by Jemma Lovell, who is a keen cra er and baker, the new shop Lovells o ers a full range of cra ing and baking supplies as well as a selection of gi s. For the bakers in the community you will nd Lovells have a wide selection of baking and cooking equipment including piping bags and nozzles for decorating, sprinkles and decorations for cakes as well as baking kits and a range of recipe books. Sewers, knitters and cross stitchers will be delighted by the haberdashery complete with Sirdar wool, knitting and sewing accessories as well as a fantastic selection of cra ing kits including crocheted toys, Knitty Critter kits and Wool Couture kits and needles, rug making and embroidery kits, perfect as a gi as they are for a cra er, or for you to take time to make for someone else. To keep all your new sewing accessories safe Lovells also have a selection of sewing boxes! If art is more your cup of tea, Lovells have a full range of art supplies and for the budding young artists you will nd an assortment of children’s arts and cra s at pocket money prices. For more information about Lovells please visit: www.facebook.com/ lovellshythe Hythe of Activity Day is set to return to the High Street in Hythe on Saturday 6th August from 10am–4pm. e day o ers a fun, informal way of letting the community know about all the wonderful organisations that operate within Hythe and Dibden Parish and the Waterside, the area is rich in support and things to do but many people are still not aware of all that’s available locally. Various clubs, charities, social groups, societies, lunch clubs, community groups and support groups will ‘set up stall’ inHythe Village Centre to promote their activities to the community. During the day the winners of the Hythe and Dibden Parish Council Community Spirit and Environmental Champion Awards will be announced. e awards provide an opportunity for the community to thank and pay special tribute to the people of Hythe and Dibden whose work and e orts have shown kindness and support to the community and make the parish a better place to live. Alongside the overall winner of the awards all nominees will be recognised with the unique Community Spirit Award Pin especially designed by local artist and author Simon Chadwick.
