DISCOVERY DAY Tadburn Meadows Local Nature Reserve, located in Romsey (SU367214) will be holding a Discovery Day on Saturday 16th July from 10am until 12noon, meet at Eight Acres. ey will be holding a Non-native species removal on Sunday 24th July from 10am until 12noon, meet at Eight Acres. You can join them for a Bat Walk on Friday 16th September from 7.45pm until 9pm, meet at Eight acres. Tadburn Meadows Local Nature Reserve is hidden amongst the houses and covers almost 12 acres and provides a home for a variety of Britain’s best loved wildlife and some nationally threatened species. e site boasts a variety of habitats, from a stream more characteristic of the New Forest to wet woodland and grassland. Tadburn Conservation Volunteers are a local group working on Tadburn Meadows Local Nature Reserve, Romsey. Contact: tadburn.meadows@gmail.com Beaulieu Village Fete Beaulieu Village Fete will be taking place on Saturday 16th July 1.30pm onwards in the grounds of Palace House. e fete will be opened by Lady Edwina Grosvenor, the High Sheri of Hampshire. e theme this year is ‘Life on the Ocean Waves’ so please enter into the spirit of things and go dressed accordingly! is is a traditional fete with something for all ages! ere are fantastic bargains on the bric-a-brac and jewellery stalls and of course they will have all the ra es and tombolas you would expect. By popular demand they will have the dog show again this year. ere will be plenty of refreshments with a barbecue, tea tent, strawberries and cream, and you can even enjoy a Pimms or a prosecco. e fete is set in the stunning grounds of Palace House at Beaulieu, at the kind invitation of Lord and Lady Montagu, with all net proceeds going to local good causes. ere is so much for all the family. Car Boot Sale A Car Boot Sale takes place at Memorial Car Park in Totton on Sundays 17th July and 7th August from 9am to 12noon (weather permitting). No booking is required. Any size car £5 and the area is hard standing. Please bring your own tables. Hand sanitising stations will be in place, please try to keep your distance.
