All our Year 11 pupils looked incredible as they partied all evening, celebrating their time at Oak Lodge School! We are incredibly grateful to all those who were involved in the event, both on the day and to our generous sponsors at ‘Airia, Compressed Air Solutions’, and ‘DP World’ who made generous donations towards the Prom, allowing us to give our Leavers the send-o they deserved! Oak Lodge School Prom 2023 From Oak Lodge School Pier Restoration Progress Hythe Pier Heritage Association can reveal that its determination to retain as much of the original Victorian structure has caused delays in the progress of the First Phase of the Railway Track restoration project, however work is continuing. New support beams for the railway A section of a Victorian beam supporting the railway track (Photo: Anthony Smith) track will be installed during September alongside the original beams that will remain in-situ. is serves to strengthen the structure whilst at the same time preserve its heritage. e rst 43 metres of track at the landward end of the pier will then be replaced and the sidings relayed. Work on a new platform will follow during the autumn. ROMSEY CHOIR RAISES FUNDS FOR THE RNLI At the nal concert in Romsey Abbey during the Romsey Festival, Romsey Male Voice Choir (RMVC), and its special guests e Orpheus Singers and autist Anna Loadman, raised a total of £2010 through the retiring bucket collection, an RMVC ra e and other support for the concert. RMVC Chairman Kevin Cleary, Deputy Chairman Jim Philbin and Treasurer Robert Le Grice presented the cheque to Chris Green from the Romsey & District Fundraising Branch of the RNLI.
