A brave decision was taken by event organisers, Hythe Pier Heritage Association (HPHA), to go ahead with the event, as other events and venues around the county were cancelled due to the high winds forecast that day. e decision paid o , as an amazing £9,000 was raised by the event through donations and the staged annually since 2018 raising valuable funds for HPHA to continue its programme of restoring historic Hythe Pier and its iconic pier railway. More volunteers will be needed if the event is to go ahead in 2024, please register your interest on the HPHA website: www.hythepierha.org.uk purchase of Rock the Pier merchandise. Hundreds gathered along e Promenade in Hythe, to be entertained with live music from local bands, kicking o with Trav Cats and Johnson Van Dykes, followed by Vision, REMbrandt and Stone Branches, with e Soulcatchers ending the event with a 1 hour set.
