Held at Furzey Gardens, one of the Trust’s social businesses, supporters of the charity enjoyed wine and cheese and classical guitar music. And whilst the rain just about held o , supporters heard from the Trust’s CEO Adam Dodd, Furzey Gardens’ new Head Gardener and Estate Manager Andrew Bentley, as well as being introduced to Florrie and Richard, whom the Trust supports. ey also heard from Jo, a parent, who has chosen to support the Trust in her Will. Guests were delighted to have the opportunity to walk around the gardens, discovering some new and exciting facts about some of the rare trees and shrubs in what is a heritage garden, which has been able to survive and thrive and be a part of so many people’s lives because of a lasting legacy when the gardens were saved from demolition in 1972. Tim Rushworth guitarist work of Minstead Trust that began at Furzey Gardens has grown from one instructor teaching gardening to a handful of people with learning disabilities to now supporting over 300 people in Hampshire and Dorset. With the help of Gi s in Wills and the legacies that individuals can leave to the Trust, special places such as Furzey, its heritage and the work it does there can continue to grow and the lives of the people supported there, and the number of visitors and future generations who love the gardens will also continue to grow.
