Whatever your age, ability or experience, be part of something exciting and come and give it a try! Rugby is one of the most inclusive sports there is. All abilities welcome, if you or your daughter want to try something new or are returning to rugby a er a BRAMSHOTT HILL SENIORS RESULTS OnWednesday 9th August a teamof Bramshott Seniors played an interclub match against Chilworth Golf Club Seniors. is was an unusual game as Chilworth could only eld a team of 8 players. However, the game went ahead in good conditions and Bramshott won the day by 3 games to 1. A meal followed in the clubhouse on completion of the match. Monday 14th August saw 42 Bramshott Seniors set out on a Stableford Quali er. e weather was not good but the forecast was for the conditions to improve as the morning progressed. is was not to be, the weather got worse with heavy rain causing the greens to begin to ood. A er several holes the game was cancelled with some very wet and bedraggled players making their way back to the clubhouse. On ursday 17th August, Bramshott Seniors gathered to play the return leg of the Amp eld match. On the away leg Bramshott Seniors had lost by 4.5 to 1.5 games. is was the day they intended to reverse their failure. Both teams met in good spirits and they all set o with good intentions. Once the match was over the results were announced and Bramshott Seniors had taken a proud victory of six games to nil resulting in an overall win for Bramshott Hill. Fawley Girls Bramshott Seniors team v Ampfield Lottie Sefton Trophy Tuesday 8th August and the rain just managed to hold o su ciently until a er the 45 New Forest Golf Club Seniors returned to the clubhouse following this stableford competition o the white tees. In Division 1, Chris Bennett was only toppled o top spot by Laurie Burn using extreme countback calculations, both scoring 41 points, then identical scores on back 9(21), back 6(13), back 3(6), 18th hole(3), front last 6(13), last 3(6), and 9th hole(2), the deciding factor then being the back 2 where Laurie just inched ahead by 1 point. But even with 14 pars and 2 birdies on his card, Laurie’s score was not quite good enough to carry the day because Division 2’s Mik Jarmolowicz came in with 42 points to claim his rst ever trophy win as a New Forest Senior. Division 1: 1st Laurie Burn 41 pts (countback 21,13,6,3,13,6,2 then back 2= 6), 2nd Chris Bennett 41 pts (countback 21,13,6,3,13,6,2 then back 2=5), 3rd Terry Gordon 40 pts (back 9=22). Dave Senior also had 40 pts but 20 on the back 9. Division 2: 1st Mik Jarmolowicz 42 pts, 2nd Mike Wharton 41 pts, 3rd Steve Waterman 40 pts.
