I would tell my own children stories about those characters as they developed in my mind over the years. Those characters then formed the basis of the story, which eventually became this book. Initially I was not even sure I could write it as a short story, but once I reached the point of around 70,000 words, I realised that it was not even destined to be just one book, but a series of 3. “I am so grateful to Gordon McClellan from DartFrog, who saw the potential in the story and wanted to publish it.
