The Hythe Ferry is also a route of historical significance providing Red Funnel and Hythe Ferry © Andrew Sassoli-Walker Local Brewery Names Beer in Honour of Calshot RNLI e Vibrant Forest Brewery named a special beer to mark them hosting the annual RNLI Bands in the Boatshed event held on 26th August. e local brewery, a long-standing supporter of Calshot RNLI, stepped in to o er to host the live music event, when logistical challenges meant that the event could not be held at Calshot Lifeboat Station. Volunteer crew from Calshot RNLI were invited to name the brew and a er a series of votes, decided on the name ‘Out On A Shout’. Event organiser and Calshot RNLI volunteer crew member Andy Bean said: “We were delighted when the Vibrant Brewery offered to brew a special beer for the event and offered the chance for us to name it. There were a number of creative suggestions from the crew, however we settled on Out On A Shout.” Vibrant Forest Brewery General Manager, Ryan Dack added: “Out On A Shout was brewed on our pilot kit specifically for Bands In The Boatshed. A boatload of hops were combined in this no-nonsense IPA fermented on a fruity English yeast and backed up with a solid bitter bite. We were excited to support the RNLI with this event and hope that supporters enjoyed the special beer at the event!” Despite some heavy showers, the turnout on the day was amazing, with the event raising £1834.87. Calshot RNLI comment: “Events like these take many person that took the time to come down and support us.
