Go along for some tasty food and great company, With the autumn evenings drawing in and everything feeling a little bit colder and darker, what better way to enjoy some extra rays of light than with a traditional, laughter lled British comedy! Ground Rules is the latest production from the renowned Crime and Comedy Theatre Company and will be showing at Hanger FarmArts Centre, Totton on Sunday 15th October as part of a UK tour. Written by Eric Chappell, who created some of our best TV sitcoms (Rising Damp, Duty Free, Only When I Laugh), Ground Rules is a rip-roaring comedy set in the suburban world of Judith and Gerald, a middle-aged, seemingly perfect couple. But when they witness a very public argument between young lovers Jo and Ashley, a chain of events are set in place that no-one can control. Flirting and frayed tempers lead to jealousy, confessions and misunderstandings – plus a potato in the exhaust pipe! Crime and Comedy Theatre Company have already set the bar high with the huge success of their last tours - The Hound of the Baskervilles starring Colin Baker (Doctor Who, The Brothers) & Terry Molloy (Radio 4’s The Archers) plus Revenge directed by Louise Jameson (Emmerdale, Eastenders, Bergerac). Ground Rules once again features an exciting creative team including award winning director/actor Bob Golding (Les Dawson Flying High, A Man Called Monkhouse, Morecambe). Bronte Alice-Tadman, Kate Ashmead, Martin Parsons and Joel Stern play the two hapless couples in a comedy which is by turns hilarious and poignant, preposterous and touching. By the end, nobody’s relationships – or perhaps even partners – will ever be the same again! Crime And Comedy Theatre Company proudly present Eric Chappell’s nal play – a tribute to a remarkable writer who sadly passed away last year. Ground Rules is one not to miss! Tickets are on sale from Hanger Farm Arts Centre, Totton. Ground Rules – the comedy for anyone who has ever been in a relationship - on tour this autumn!
