She, aged 90, commented: “I had such a lovely day. I particularly enjoyed the homemade food. The chefs always do a brilliant job of treating us, and today they really pulled out all the stops. I had a good chat with lots of friends and even had the chance to meet some new people, which was brilliant.” Joan, another resident at Knights Grove, added: “It was fun to see everyone singing and dancing!” Pamela Nicholson, aged 90, resident at Oak Lodge, commented: “Can I just say the food was absolutely beautiful, I’ve had such a wonderful day, and I’ve really enjoyed having dinner with my girls.” Clare Relf, Home Manager at Knights Grove Bupa Care Home, said: “Silver Sunday is something we love celebrating every year, as it is incredibly important Knights Grove Silver Sunday enjoy. It was amazing to see all the residents have such a great day singing along to music – they never fail to put a smile on all the care teams’ faces.” Maypole, Knights Grove, Oak Lodge and Northlands House Bupa Care Homes are situated in Southampton and welcome residents in need of nursing or residential care.
