She, aged 90, commented: “I had such a lovely day. I particularly enjoyed the homemade food. The chefs always do a brilliant job of treating us, and today they really pulled out all the stops. I had a good chat with lots of friends and even had the chance to meet some new people, which was brilliant.” Joan, another resident at Knights Grove, added: “It was fun to see everyone singing and dancing!” Pamela Nicholson, aged 90, resident at Oak Lodge, commented: “Can I just say the food was absolutely beautiful, I’ve had such a wonderful day, and I’ve really enjoyed having dinner with my girls.” Clare Relf, Home Manager at Knights Grove Bupa Care Home, said: “Silver Sunday is something we love celebrating every year, as it is incredibly important Knights Grove Silver Sunday enjoy. Our carers did a wonderful job of organising the activities and making sure there was something for everyone to Go along and join the small friendly club for over 60’s, run by Royal Voluntary Service members. ey have a mix of social a ernoons with quizzes and bingo and a ernoon meetings with entertainment or a speaker. ey meet on the first and third Thursday of each month from 1.45pm to 4pm at St John’s Hall, New Road, Hythe.
