An update from the Waterside Christmas Fire Engine Preparations for the 2023 Waterside Christmas Fire Engine started very early in the year with fundraising to support the Engines upkeep by attending local summer fetes. A much needed new alternator was tted by our volunteers paid for by Paul Dibden Projects, new front tyres tted, courtesy of the Waterside Community fund (formerly known as the Dibden Allotment Fund) and a complete makeover courtesy of Exxon Mobil. ere was a great deal of hard work by volunteers to prepare the Engine for the makeover but it certainly paid off. Now the Elves are busy preparing the Engine for the Christmas festivities. Due to popularity of the Waterside Christmas Fire Engine, Santa has already started touring the Waterside. So yes, Christmas has come early to the Waterside this year!
