The amazing total raised by New Forest Golf Club Seniors this year really will have an impact on the health and wellbeing of young carers, helping them to build brighter futures and create happy childhood memories.” 10 YEAR OLD COMPLETES MARATHON CHALLENGE FOR CHARITY Lucy Peace recently completed a marathon walking challenge to raise money for Asthma & Lung UK. Taking on the challenge of walking 26.2 miles during October, 10 year old Lucy, who su ers from severe brittle asthma herself, ended up walking an amazing total of 32.4 miles. Lucy’s two huskies, Bear and Luna, helped to keep her going throughout the challenge. Lucy has su ered with brittle asthma since she was 3 years old and wanted to raise money for Asthma and Lung UK, a charity dedicated to helping create a world where good lung health and the ability to breathe freely are a basic right enjoyed by all. From research and campaigning to advice and support, their mission is to change the way that lung health is perceived. As well as completing the marathon walk, Lucy has raised £170 so far.
