Amazing kindness and generosity was in abundance when Hythe & Waterside Rotary carried out collections at two local supermarkets on the Waterside. Customers at the Co-op Holbury and Tesco Dibden were very keen to support these collections which took place during the three weekends before Christmas. A total of just under £1,500 was raised, 100% of which will be used to support good causes locally, nationally and internationally. Hythe & Waterside Rotary President, Jim Whitehouse, said: “It is quite amazing that people were able to help us raise such a fantastic amount of money. At a time when we are all having to watch the pennies, the generosity of the local community is staggering. We give sincere thanks to all those who supported us and wish everyone a peaceful 2024”.
