Two Hearts by David K Wilson© He stood at the edge of the dance floor Alone and feeling so blue Hoping to dance With the girl of his dreams But dreams they seldom come true The DJ then ramped up the volume Switching the bright lights to low He felt dejected Lonely rejected So made the decision to go He elbowed his way ‘cross the dance floor Shouldered his way through the throng His special girl smiled He smiled in return He wished it could last all night long She’d been watching him all of the evening The DJ then played slow love songs Both were still shy Until two pairs of eyes Locked And two hearts burst into song!
