Their next meeting will be on Wednesday 14th February when Carol Norman’s talk is entitled ‘Keeper of Memories’. All the Waterside Ladies Probus meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at Dibden Golf Club from 10.30am. Co ee and biscuits are served followed by a speaker and a twocourse lunch. Meetings generally finish at 1.30pm. ey are a very friendly group and are always happy to welcome new members. New Forest (East) Probus Club e New Forest (East) Probus Club held their December meeting at Dibden Golf Centre on ursday 21st December. President Henley, welcomed 21 members, to the 416th meeting. He was pleased to read out a thank you letter from Honeypot House in response to the generous donations given by the Club members. Membership is now 28 members. Future events include: a coffee morning at the Rockingham Arms on 29th February, a visit to Honeypot House with refreshments in March/ April, a co ee morning at the Royal Southampton Yacht Club on 25th June. Lunch at e White Hart in Romsey, Lunch at Milford Cli House Hotel. Other Potential visits for 2024 include a visit to ExxonMobil Petro Chemical Plant, a trip on Solent Dolphins ‘Alison MacGregor’, and a visit to Cowes, with lunch at the Island Sailing Club. e meeting concluded with a series of talks by members on their experiences during Conscription or ‘Call Up’ into all of the Services. ere was a wide range of Members experiences from developing Radar, hunting Submarines, a 10 month ‘World Cruise’, air eld management, and training P&O cadets.
