Hobbs are among the very rst print companies to have their commitment to reduce their carbon emissions veri ed and published by the Scienti c Based Targets initiative. is is in line with the 1.5% target agreed at the Paris climate agreement. ey have a speci c and detailed plan that identi es exactly how they are going to achieve this. Hobbs concern for the environment is illustrated by the fact that for many years they have held the Environmental Standard ISO 14001, which requires the company to continually nd ways to reduce their environmental impact in a safe and predictable manner. As a result Hobbs have been actively engaging with their suppliers to ensure that they also reduce their environmental impact, as well as working with their clients to come up with innovative solutions to help reduce paper usage and waste, as well as using carbon balanced paper, helping to protect and restore over 98,000m2 of threatened forest in some of the world’s most biodiverse regions. eir purpose built unit in Brunel Road has 960 PV solar panels on the roof that help to power the factory below, in addition to using green energy suppliers.
