From meticulous attention Following a busy end to 2023, Nursling and Rownhams Community Band have started rehearsals again for 2024. The Band had a busy time at the end of last year playing four concerts in December. The Band performed at the Scout Fair and to the residents of Grove Place Village, before their Christmas Concert in St Boniface Church. The concert included some audience participation singing along to the carols. The concert programme was repeated four days later for the residents of Woodlands Ridge Care Home. The Band started rehearsing again on 10th January and already have a number of performances planned for this year including the Nursling & Rownhams May Fair on Monday 6th May, they are looking forward to introducing some new numbers, to add to their regular favourites. Every month some members of the Band will play at Woodlands Ridge Care Home to entertain their residents. Nursling and Rownhams Community Band welcome new players of all abilities (they don’t hold auditions) at any time to join them to rehearse and play a miscellany of pop medleys, light classics, show tunes and seasonal music.
