HYTHE FLOWER CLUB On ursday 8th February Hythe Flower Club had a ‘Watch and Do’ evening. An opportunity to learn new skills and take home your own creation. Using a oral foam sphere they used bear grass to make a basket weave pattern, harder than you might think!! A glass tube was in the middle of the sphere and once they had nished they were able to put in a tulip and some bear grass. A very e ective homemade container which should last a long while. If needed it could be sprayed a colour of your choice at a later date. eir talented NAFAS tutor Mala Williams led the evening and they are so grateful she is a member of Hythe Flower Club. Members were asked to come up with some ideas for their next ‘Watch and Do’ evening which is on 12th September. is month, on Thursday 14th March they return to a demonstration, Kelly Shaw will be with them and the title is ‘Celebration of Nature’s Bounty’. Hythe Flower Club is a friendly inclusive club and welcome visitors at every meeting, in fact they have now got a junior member aged 16. Probably their rst ever. ey meet at Hythe and Dibden Parish Hall on the second Thursday of the month, except August, 6.45pm for 7.30pm. Go along and meet them, they love visitors, who knows you may become a member.
