Both days were Stroke play from the White Tees. is is the most di cult game played on the longest course, so it was a serious challenge and only the best golfers would win the day. e weather was very good for both rounds and both Net and Gross scores were announced. e Seniors champion though would be the player with the best Gross score. e results are as follows: Gross scores: Stuart Bulbrooke Round 1: 81, Round 2: 77, Round 3: 158. Dave Wilson Round 1: 92, Round 2: 85, Round 3: 177. Brian Lewis Round 1: 95, Round 2: 90, Round 3: 185. Nett Scores: Dave Wilson Round 1: 71, Round 2: 65, Round 3: 136. Congratulations to Stuart Bulbrooke for once again retaining the Seniors Championship for the third year in a row. Also a huge well done to Seniors Captain Dave Wilson for winning the Nett score competition. Monday 12th August Bramshott Seniors prepared to play a Stableford quali er. e weather was once again looking more like summer. A er the previous two Monday Medal games there was a sense of relaxation at playing the Stableford format. e course was in good condition and they had a turnout of forty-eight players - a magni cent attendance. e results were as follows: Division 1: 1st Ian Blandford 38, 2nd Andy Lewis 36, 3rd Steve Lawson 35; Division 2: 1st Graham Blomfield 37, 2nd Alan Bell 35, 3rd Paul Collins 33; Division 3: 1st Brett Parr 39, 2nd Terry Wiseman 35, 3rd Paul Baker 34. On Thursday 15th August the Bramshott Hill Seniors team prepared to play a home match against Amp eld Golf Club. Again, the weather was ne with no rain forecast. Amp eld, is a lovely par three course but because of this their team does not get a lot of practice on the longer course. e game was played in good spirits and a great day was had by all. However, their lack of longer course experience showed and Bramshott Seniors won the match six games to nil. Bramshott Hill Seniors team v Ampfield Seniors Print & Stitch Monday 7th October, create a decorative piece of work of your own design at Lepe Country Park, combining contact/nature printing, lino stamps, frottage, Indian ink drawing and stitch on to a material base. Material, thread, stamps, and ink will be provided (non-washable ink).
