Page 46 • The HERALD • 17th July 2025 v THE NEXT HERALD IS OUT ON 7TH AUGUST v OUT & ABOUT Music at Beaulieu On Saturday 26th July, Music at Beaulieu welcomes once again e King’s Men, the group of former King’s College Cambridge choir members who now tour widely, always entertaining audiences with their varied musical choices. is year their programme will include “ e Month of Maying” by Elizabethan composer omas Morley, “Grace Kelly” by British singer Mika and “Minnie the Moocher” by AfroAmerican singer and composer Cab Calloway. ese will be complemented by traditional and modern songs, such as “Swing Low Sweet Chariot” and “Copacabana”. Doors open at 6.15pm and the concert starts at 7pm. Looking ahead, the concert on Saturday 23rd August will be given by jazz band Spiral who will be playing jazz classics from the 70’s and 80’s. Marchwood Veterans Breakfast Club Are you a service member of the Armed Forces, a Veteran, or family member of someone serving? If so, 17th Port and Maritime Regiment RLC would like to welcome you to their monthly breakfast club which is open to all current and ex-military services, all ranks, all ages and families. e aim is to come together as an Armed Forces Family, catch up with friends, help social interaction and mental health, talk about current and past experience, support towards housing (SFA’s and social), resettlement support for civilian life, job networking and o er tness wellbeing advice. If your item is beyond repair the team will tell you the best way to dispose of it. From clocks, household electricals to umbrellas, they have seen it all. Go on down and say hello and enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake while you wait. e Repair Café takes place on the last Saturday of each month at Black eld Baptist Church Hall. Doors open at 10.30am last repair checked in at 1pm. Free parking on site. DISCOVERY DAY Tadburn Meadows Local Nature Reserve, located in Romsey (SU367214) will be holding a Discovery Day on Tuesday 29th July, from 10am to 12noon at Tadburn Meadows. Meet at the entrance to the reserve at Eight Acres. Tadburn Meadows Local Nature Reserve is hidden amongst the houses and covers almost 12 acres and provides a home for a variety of Britain’s best loved wildlife and some nationally threatened species. e site boasts a variety of habitats, from a stream more characteristic of the New Forest to wet woodland and grassland. Tadburn Conservation Volunteers are a local group working on Tadburn Meadows Local Nature Reserve, Romsey.
