A fabulous county show, o en visited by royalty, their website states, ‘The show is the largest and most prestigious agricultural event in the UK. It is the must-visit for anyone to connect with nature, learn something new and enjoy a fun filled day out.’ Once again, the church tent will be in its spot next to the bee tent and W.I. e whole area were awarded the Top Ten sections to spend time in the past couple of years. Previously even gaining recognition for the work carried out to be ‘Church’ through hospitality, awareness of worldwide issues and children’s cra s/face painting. e whole marquee comes under the organisational umbrella of Lyndhurst Deanery, whose volunteers provide thousands of drinks throughout the three days, with freshly brewed wonderful lter co ee, tea and cold drinks. e talented team of face painters and cra assistants will once again be working tirelessly, under Gordon and Wendy Hutchinson to create fabulous images for the children (and sometimes those a bit older!) Once again, both teams make no charge, just suggested donations and a chance for everyone to call by and have a bit of respite. e pop up shop will again be hosted by the Oasis team from Oasis Bookshop in Romsey. As well as books, a number at summer sale prices, cra items from fair trade projects worldwide will be available to purchase, plus greeting cards for all occasions, wholefoods and the ever popular Divine chocolate (to buy to have with your tea or co ee maybe?) Go along and have a browse. So many show visitors begin their time at the show meeting up with friends for a cuppa and chatting with the volunteers. Go along and join them for a cuppa! While serving as a juror in a high-pro le murder trial, a family man nds himself struggling with a serious moral dilemma, one he could use to sway the jury verdict and potentially convict or free the wrong killer. TAKE SIX ARTISTS e New Forest Art Society’s Summer Exhibition runs from Saturday 2nd August to Saturday 9th August. eir next monthly meeting is on Wednesday 17th September for a talk by Ronnie Ireland titled ‘Take Six Artists’ with a theme ‘Land’. New members are always welcome and visitors are invited to go along for a small entry fee (£5). Meetings are held in the Pine Room at Lyndhurst Community Centre from 7.30pm-9.30pm March to October (2.15pm until 4.15pm from November to February).
