Reverend Lee took the service which included elements from Bubble Church, Morning Worship and Holy Communion. e Bubble Church puppets told the story of the widow who gave two small coins and Jesus recognised her as a generous giver who willingly gave her best to God. We were all encouraged to think about what we might be able to give to God – be that giving of our time to volunteer or giving money to good causes. Even if we think we don’t have much that we can o er, God can always use what we are able to give. As well as enjoying some Bubble Church action songs, we also enjoyed singing some much-loved hymns, including our John the Baptist hymn written by friend of the parish, Canon Cli Wright. Following the service we stayed on for a bring and share lunch and it was a wonderful opportunity for our various congregations to spend time together. roughout the summer, our three regular Sunday morning services will continue to run, as well as Evensong on the second Sunday of the month. Bubble Church takes place at 9.30am, Morning Worship at 10.15am, and Holy Communion at 11.15am. Evensong is on the second Sunday of the month at 5.30pm. Please note that on Sunday 10th August we have a Bubble Church baptism and so our Morning Worship congregation are invited to come and join in with Bubble Church that Sunday rather than having a separate 10.15am service. New people are always very welcome at any of our services.
