Cornelius Cone is Back with a New Look Book Local postie turned author illustrator, Steve Boyce, has recently re-released his third children’s book following the adventures of Cornelius Cone – a character inspired by a sign on the M27 with the words ‘Cone Helpline’ that appealed to his sense of humour as he imagines the cones calling a helpline! ‘Cornelius Cone and the Earth’s Crust’ has been edited and revamped with new imagery and sees the loveable tra c cone and his friends, including posties and some vegetarian dinosaurs, trying to save the day as the Earth’s crust is in danger! Steve’s books deal with important issues in a light and fun way, including the importance of road safety and environmental issues. Although he’s no longer working as a postie, Steve o en gets inspiration for his books from the post rounds he used to do in Hythe and Holbury. e revised Cornelius Cone and the Earth’s Crust and Steve’s other books are available from Amazon. Waterside Craft Club Waterside Cra Club continues to meet every Thursday, 12.30pm – 3pm at the Hythe Sea Scouts Hut on Shore Road in Hythe.
