An invitation from Voices of the Forest Why not come along to a free open rehearsal with Voices of the Forest on Monday 22nd September, 7pm at St. Michael and All Angels Church, Lyndhurst. Voices of the Forest members will give a warm welcome to all who come along to our special Open Rehearsal. Want to know a little more about us….? We are a well-established and acclaimed mixed voice, acapella choir based in Lyndhurst. We meet term time on Monday evenings at 7pm in St. Michael and All Angel Church in Lyndhurst. Expertly led by Phil Daish-Handy, our repertoire covers a wide variety of songs from Bach to e Beatles and we especially love singing songs from across the world, o en in original languages. We usually perform three concerts each year. New singers are always welcome to join us so, if you can’t make it to the Open Rehearsal, then come along on any Monday evening and meet us. We o er all potential new members three free taster sessions to try us out before we ask for a commitment. You do not need to be able to read music, as songs are carefully taught by ear and you will not be expected to audition. So, if you think you can hold a tune, and you enjoy singing then why not come along and give us a go – we are a friendly lot! NEW FOREST BRASS Cornerstone Hythe URC is delighted to welcome the return of New Forest Brass for a concert on Saturday 4th October at 7pm. e programme will include original Brass Band pieces, music from lms and shows and some popular songs. ere will also be some exciting solos from some of the band’s talented players. Tickets include a programme and complimentary refreshments during the interval. Proceeds from the concert are for the Band and the Cornerstone Outreach Fund. e band, which is based at Hounsdown School, rehearses on Tuesday evenings throughout the year. ey are also proud to have a second band, known as the New Forest Brass Community Band, in which players of all ages and abilities can enjoy making music together. Holbury Manor WI Holbury Manor WI is a friendly group that meets on the fourth Monday of the month at their new venue at Fawley Rugby Football Club (RFC), Newlands Road, Fawley SO45 1GA at 7.30pm. eir next meeting is on Monday 22nd September for a talk by guest speaker on the work of charities in Hampshire.
