However, towards the end of the day the rain came in. 18 club members signed on and 12 weighed in sh consisting of pouting, whiting, bass, dog sh and small eye ray. On the club shore competitions under size sh count for points which were bass and smoothhound. A total of 46 sh were caught, weighed and released back into the sea as quickly as possible for a total weight of 50 lbs 15⅞ oz. Best round sh of the day was a small eyed ray weighing 7lb 12⅛oz caught by Paul Watson. All the sh are counted, measured and returned to the sea and points awarded. Every milestone in a relationship deserves to be celebrated. Abbey United Reformed Church in Romsey – the church by the arch – are inviting couples to attend a special service to remember the promises made to each other and the life built together. is will be held at the church by the arch, opposite TSB in Romsey, on Sunday 15th February at 10.30am to celebrate the love and partnerships in people’s lives. ey look forward to welcoming back as many couples who were married in the church as possible. is service is also open to anyone who wishes to celebrate the love and meaningful relationships in their life. e service will be led by Revd Mike, and Revd Terry Hinks will be welcomed back to Abbey URC to give the re ection in this service. ere will be hymns, readings and music, plus a prayer celebrating the blessings marriage or partnerships have brought us, and asking for forgiveness for the times when we have fallen short of our promises to each other. is is also an opportunity to remember and re ect for those whose partners are no longer with us or whose marriages have not stood the test of time. It is important to take time to celebrate special relationships and love; remembering the joy, laughter and support experienced in our lives. While St Valentine’s Day is o en marked with cards and owers and seen as a celebration for couples, it is also a time to pray for guidance in relationships, strength in marriage, hope in seeking a soulmate, and for God’s love to fill us with patience, kindness, and faithfulness. For some, it is a joyful occasion celebrating new love, long partnerships or cherished memories. For others, it can be a di cult time, particularly for those who are alone or grieving the loss of a loved one. If you are struggling at this time, there will be small pocket hugs in the shape of hearts on the church railings for you to take and place in your pocket - keep it with you and know you are in their prayers.
