The Waterside Gateway Club have enjoyed taking part every year for the past 9 years that it has been going and have been top fund raisers every year, and once again this year was no exception. e group raised £1,020 for their club, in addition to contributing to some of the Rotary charities. Club member Martin Stickland was the top fund raiser as he is every year, collecting a total of £400. e Waterside Gateway Club look forward to the Charity walk each year as it is an opportunity to be part of a team, have lots of fun with friends, explore the private woods of the Beaulieu Estate, whilst raising funds for their club and the Rotary charities. Ray Lewis from Hythe and Waterside Rotary presenting cheque Waterside Art Group is so excited about securing the inspirational artist Jake Winkle. He will be visiting Hythe on Tuesday 26th November at Hythe and Dibden Community Centre o Jones Lane in Hythe. e demonstration will commence at 7.30pm and the visitor fee is £4. e group will be shown how he captures light and movement in his demonstration ‘Going Wild in Watercolour’. Visitors will be very welcome to attend. Jake has been selected for a number of competitions and art magazines, and exhibits widely in London and the south of England. He has undertaken commissions for e National Trust and produced three instructional DVDs. His website is: www. winkleart.com .
