Daniel said: “I always wanted to write for film and TV and tried submitting screenplays for several years - getting nowhere. In a last-ditch attempt, I took my favourite of my screenplays, RAGDOLL, and decided to turn it into a novel, not long after I signed a 3-book deal with Orion.” Two weeks later, Daniel was asked to attend the London Book Fair, and he still remember getting o the train at Waterloo to find he had twelve missed calls. In the time it took him to cross the bridge, he had agreed to deals with three foreign publishers. Within that two-day period the book had sold to more than twenty territories, eventually climbing up to over thirty all over the world. On its release, RAGDOLL was both a Sunday Times and international bestseller, the second in the series, HANGMAN, came out last year and proved to be just as popular and now the third novel, ENDGAME, has just been released in the UK. ‘Ragdoll’ was a totally addictive read for me, I just couldn’t put it down. e protagonist, Wolf, an extremely awed detective, at the centre of the story was a great character and had many sides to him. e second book ‘Hangman’ we hear more from DCI Emily Baxter who also featured in the rst book. Her life was far from straightforward and it doesn’t seem to get any easier for her now. is second book also grabbed me from the beginning and I found myself reading into the night to nd out what would happen next. Fast paced and gripping, a well written story with a very different atmosphere, so many twists and turns throughout. In the nale of the Sunday Times bestselling Wolf and Baxter series, Wolf, Baxter and Edmunds are back on the case. Another exceptional book that you really should get your hands on. I would suggest reading ‘Ragdoll’ and ‘Hangman’ rst but this isn’t absolutely necessary, just gives some good background information into the characters. An absolutely cracking end to a fantastic trilogy. As I read further into each book, I felt that I knew the characters personally, for me this always signals an excellent book. Daniel is a very talented writer and I am looking forward to his call to tell me he has another book for me to read.
