All are welcome. The change in the weather means more people are out and about using their bike. High value bikes are being targeted and are generally taken from sheds and garages and sold online via social media platforms quickly and easily. If you use a bike ride tracking app such as Strava make sure your privacy settings are changed so that your start and end point aren’t being shared; this is likely to be your home address and tell others where your bike is stored. Register your bike for free using an accredited property database such as: www.immobilise.com or: www. bikeregister.com Always ensure your bike is locked securely and anchored to an immovable point, even when being stored in a shed or garage. It is best to use two locks which are tted closely to the bike. Members enjoy a friendly, social atmosphere at the monthly meetings. Every meeting includes a ra e. ere are lm nights, quizzes, speakers on various topics and club drive days. e club also holds an annual auction in aid of the local ‘Honeypot’ children’s charity. is national charity (reg. no. 1011672) is locally based and provides respite breaks in the countryside for young carers. e April meeting was scheduled for the 14th, members were asked to take along unusual items for identi cation and discussion. e club will be holding a ‘Classic Drive Day’ on Sunday 24th April when members will be driving their classic cars on a set route. Members have expressed how pleased they are with the new venue for their meetings. It o ers ample parking and a good size meeting room giving a sociable space to spend an evening. It also has kitchen facilities enabling members to have refreshments. Meetings take place on the second ursday of each month at Netley Marsh Community Hall, Woodlands Road, SO40 7GH.
