It will continue to work towards its aim of restoring and redeveloping Hythe Pier, its associated buildings and the unique pier railway for the bene t of the community of Hythe. HPHA owns the two tractor units and the four carriages. To date, one tractor unit has been restored as have two of the carriages. A third carriage is at present being restored in conjunction with volunteers from the Hythe Shed at the Pier. It is hoped the third carriage will be put back on track in the autumn. HPHA is at present also undertaking replacement of the rst 43 metres the track alongwith the sidings and the replacement of the Assembling the side frame for the third carriage at the Shed at the Pier (Photo: Alan Titheridge) platform at the shore end of the pier.
