Est., Hythe 023 8084 0163 CLASSIC CAR CLUB – ‘Busy Month for Members’ Southampton and New Forest Group of the Austin A30/A35 Owners’ Club Club News On ursday 13th April the club meeting was titled ‘Collections’. e aim was for members to bring along examples of their collections to show and share stories of how and why they started them. ursday 20th April was planned as the rst club rally of the year at Furzey Gardens, Minstead. Furzey Gardens is run as a social enterprise by Minstead Trust. Sunday 23rd April is the club’s own ‘Drive Out Day’. It is the same Sunday as the national ‘Drive It Day’. e aim of the ‘Drive’ day is to raise funds for charity. ere is likely to be a lot of classic conveys out across the area that day. members leaving with a prize or two. e club holds regular quizzes, has speakers on various topics and club drive days. e club is always happy to welcome new members that are owners of any make of classic car, not forgetting those enthusiasts who appreciate them but don’t have one of their own, to come and meet the club members with a view to joining. Members have a range of classic vehicles such as Bedford, Ford, Land Rover, Mercedes, M.G., Morris, Riley, Triumph and Volkswagen enabling the club to expand the range of vehicle manufacturers to complement their A30/35s and other Austin models. e next meeting is on Thursday 11th May. Meetings take place on the second ursday of each month, starting 7.30pm, at Netley Marsh Community Hall, Woodlands Rd, SO40 7GH. Do go along and meet them.
