A new FREE Story Quest has launched at Gang Warily Recreation Centre, just in time for the start of the school summer holidays. Launched as part of this year’s Waterside Arts Festival, Story Quest – ‘ e Lake Monster of Gang Warily’, is written and illustrated by local author/illustrator Simon Chadwick. Story Quest is a free initiative funded by Sport England, the stories are written for primary school aged children to read together with their parents/guardians and the walks are suitable for all levels of tness. Simon has worked with Story Quest, the National Literacy Trust, Culture in Common, Energise Me, New Forest District Council and Sport England, as well as children from local schools to create this fantastic trail that is perfect for the whole family. Join characters Ethan, Emily and their four-legged friend Jester as they explore this lake to land adventure around Gang Warily. e trail includes a series of both physical and written challenges along the way, so remember to take a pencil with you! It takes around 60 minutes to complete but if you want to make a day of it take a picnic and let the children run around in the huge open space or play in the park.
