WE CARE, YOU CARE COMMUNITY FOCUSED DEMENTIA SUPPORT From The Dementia Care Hub Are you or is someone you know living with dementia? Or are you a person supporting a person living with dementia? At e Dementia Care Hub, we believe that no one should go through this journey alone. Our team, led by Chartered Psychologist Dr Kellyn Lee, provide support to those living with dementia and their families. How does The Dementia Care Hub support families? We provide… • Social groups for everyone a ected by dementia – to reduce isolation and loneliness, we also provide information and guidance. • Six weekly surgeries with health and social care professionals to help monitor progression and o er support and advice, long term care planning and access to services. • Well-being groups for people living with dementia - to enhance emotional wellbeing and provide partners some time for themselves. • e ART of dementia care group – art to enhance emotional wellbeing for the person living with dementia and a carer group so care partners can support each other and share experiences. • e We Care Dementia Care Programme for families – helps care partners and families adjust to the changes in relationships dementia inevitably brings. e times and venues are as follows: Social Groups: Totton Community Centre – Mondays 10.30am–12.30pm and St Andrews Church, Dibden Purlieu on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday 1.15pm–2.45pm. Art and Carer Groups: Totton Community Centre on Thursdays 10.15am–11.45am. Wellbeing Groups: Calmore Community Centre on Tuesdays 10am–3pm and Totton Community Centre on Wednesdays 12noon–4pm. You can drop into any of our social groups, but booking is required for art Forget-me-not Singing Club Forget-me-not Singing Club is a fun and friendly singing club for people living with dementia. e club is led by folk singersongwriter and Natural Voice trained choir leader, Amy Hopwood and runs on Fridays from 2pm to 3.30pm at Brockenhurst Methodist Church Hall, Avenue Road, Brockenhurst, SO42 7RT. e club is aimed at people living with dementia and their friends, relatives and carers, but anyone else who just fancies a good sing is very welcome to join too. Each session is £4 per person including free tea/co ee and biscuits.
