Love in a Box - Thank You From Carol Ibbotson A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Parish of Fawley ‘Love in a Box’ event. 25 volunteers gathered at e Good Shepherd Church in Holbury on Saturday 19th October and spent a very enjoyable a ernoon wrapping and lling shoeboxes with Christmas gi s for children in Eastern Europe. Once again, this year has been very successful. We held a ‘Co ee Morning’ to raise funds, and the donations of knitted hats, teddies, gi s and money have been amazing. e number of boxes made this year was 121. A further 52 boxes were contributed by Manor Church of England Infant School in Holbury. e boxes were collected from us during November by the Mustard Seed Christian Charity, who organise the event. ey will be delivered to disadvantaged children in Moldova, in time for Christmas. ese gi s are very much appreciated and will bring happiness to many children at this special time of year.
