REFUSE TRUCKS HELP SHARE IMPORTANT DOMESTIC ABUSE MESSAGE Refuse trucks across the New Forest are helping to raise awareness of vital domestic abuse services. Six of the district Council’s vehicles have been tted with banners advising victims that ‘You don’t have to su er in silence’ and providing contact details for the Hampshire Domestic Abuse Service. Operating out of each of the Council’s three depots, the lorries will ensure the message is seen across all areas of the district. Cllr Diane Andrews, Portfolio Holder for Community Affairs says “Tackling domestic abuse, including support for victims and perpetrators, remains one of the priorities for the Safer New Forest Partnership. Providing access and information to victims is one of the key priorities to enable victims to make positive choices and increase their ability to live free from of harm. The Safer New Forest Partnership consists of partner agencies including New Forest District Council, Hampshire C o n s t a b u l a r y , Hampshire Fire and Rescue, Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Probation.
