Supported by businesses in the local community, West Cli Hall organised a ra e, selling tickets from its stall at Hythe Market then during its Platinum Jubilee Garden party on 3rd June which raised the grand total of £565.89 for the Honeypot Children’s Charity based at Exbury in the New Forest. Following the garden party, West Cli Hall’s team members and residents presented a cheque for this amount to the charity. But thanks to the BigGive campaign, West Cli Hall’s donation will be doubled by INEOS and e Childhood Trust, helping Honeypot reach their target of raising £40K in one week which is being doubled to £80K. Viv Carter, Honeypot’s Community Engagement Manager, says: “We are so delighted that West Cliff Hall have chosen to support Honeypot this year and we are very grateful to everyone involved in making the raffle such a success. The funds raised will make such a difference to young carers’ lives, enabling Honeypot to provide these 5–12 year-olds with annual residential respite breaks at Honeypot House and a whole range of wrap-round services to help them take a break from looking after someone they love and simply enjoy being children.” Aga Gierek-Tan, West Cli Hall’s Manager, says: “We are so thrilled to have raised such a fantastic amount of money for the Honeypot Children’s Charity especially as the amount is now being doubled. We would like to thank all the businesses who supported us by donating prizes to help us reach this wonderful total.” Aga adds: “West Cliff Hall is very committed to helping and supporting its local community. We have already Hythe Care Home Raise £565 for Local Children’s Charity raised £585 for the Save The Hythe Ferry campaign. We have also delivered gifts to local GP surgeries and Covid vaccination centres during the pandemic, plus random gifts of flowers to local people.
