Alan provided slides showing the events that took part in the Fawley Parish over the past year which included them being awarded the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Village of Hythe & Waterside Rotary President Jim Whitehouse thanks Alan Alvey received.  e current priorities are to relieve family poverty, to help older residents retain their independence and to support youth activities, pre-schools, schools and community projects. During the last nancial year, they awarded a total of £311,234 in grants. As of 1st October 2023 they are changing their name to Waterside Community Fund to best promote the work that they do. Hythe & Waterside Rotary wish them continued success. the Year “Best C o m m u n i t y I n i t i a t i v e ” category. Alan then went on to outline the history of the Dibden Allotment Fund and how they handle the vast number of applications for grants that are Get your Tickets to upcoming 1920’s Murder Mystery Fundraising Dining Event in Aid of Local Charity Minstead Trust is once again holding its ever popular murder mystery dining event, this time at the Macdonald Botley Park hotel. It is being held on Friday 10th November, and the fun packed performances are brought to you by James and his team from Organise Events Ltd. e story for the night is ‘Lord Duxbury’s Christmas Party’ and will be acted out as you relax and dine at your tables. You too can dress up in 1920’s garb if you wish, as you watch the action and help to solve the crime with the help of the characters and clues. All pro ts from the night are supporting Minstead Trust. ese events have been continually popular, being a fun way to enjoy a dining experience with friends, colleagues and family and raise money for charity at the same time. Everyone’s favourite ogre is set to visit Southampton next year as Shrek the Musical hits the May ower stage in February.
