Can You Help To Knit Some Woolly Angels? Every year St John’s Church in Hythe like to inform the local community of their church service times in the most angelic of ways. At the beginning of December the church give away little hand cra ed angel keepsakes along with their Christmas service times attached. Last year the church gave away 1000 angels and is hoping to top that number this year. e ‘Angel Lady’ Sue Blomley is asking for anyone who enjoys knitting, crocheting or sewing to get involved to help them to exceed last year’s total. Tickets for Paultons Park’s Halloween Spooktacular Are on Sale Now Paultons Park, the UK’s best value theme park, has con rmed the return of its popular Halloween Spooktacular and Celebration of Christmas events this Autumn and Winter. e Halloween Spooktacular sees the leading attraction undergo a ghoulish makeover for the event taking place between Thursday 12th October and Monday 30th October. Happy Halloween 2021 HELP OUT DAY On Monday 11th September, ExxonMobil held their ‘Help Out Day’ at the Healthy Haven Garden. Pam, Islay and Ali went along to help repair their paths. Robbie and James also went to help along with their own volunteers. ey ran out of hogging to nish the paths, so they will have to complete it another day. ey also teak oiled their benches, cut down a small plum tree to make more room, put in some edging, dug up the tomatoes and collected some large pots of Agapanthus. A great time was had by all. Sandwiches, crisps, biscuits and cold drinks were provided by ExxonMobil, and the garden volunteers provided homemade cakes, fruit and tea and co ee. e Healthy Haven Garden volunteers were blown away by the enthusiasm and hard work of the three young ladies from ExxonMobil, and ExxonMobil should be truly proud of them going along and doing such a great job. Totton South U3A will be represented at the Totton Community Fayre at St Wins Church, Salisbury Road Totton on 10th October 5-7pm, when anyone who would like to nd out more about membership of U3A’s can chat to Totton South U3A Committee Members. Totton South U3A’s general meetings are on the 3rd Friday afternoon of the month, 1.30pm at Colbury Memorial Hall, their next meeting is on Friday 20th October for ‘It’s Not What You Say - Body Language Speaks Louder an Words’. e November meeting takes place on Friday 17th November for ‘Colouring For A Living - Writing Children’s Books’.
