Dibden Purlieu Traders and St Andrew’s Church are running a Christmas Carol Trail around the village from 1st to 24th December. To join in the fun, collect an answer sheet from St Andrew’s Church, or any of the participating shops and start your search. Small prizes for correct entries. is year’s Beaulieu Abbey Harvest Festival celebration was held on Monday 2nd October and saw a record number of 120 guests lling the Domus for this popular event. A er enjoying a 4 Course Dinner cooked by the Abbey Social Committee members, served with excellent wines, the guests were treated to some musical entertainment from the Beaulieu Warblers. e ra e which was held on the night was generously supported and raised £630 for the Abbey. Grateful thanks to everyone who contributed to making the evening a resounding success. Every year St John’s Church in Hythe like to inform the local community of their church service times in the most angelic of ways. At the beginning of December the church give away little hand cra ed angel keepsakes along with their Christmas service SUNDAY SERVICES Go along to Black eld Baptist Church ( e Heart of the Village) on Sunday 19th, 26th November, 3rd, 10th and 17th December from 10.30am for their regular services. Everyone is welcome to join them at Hampton Lane, Black eld for their services. Can you help to make some angels? times attached. Last year the church gave away 1000 angels and is hoping to top that number this year. e ‘Angel Lady’ Sue Blomley is asking for anyone who enjoys knitting, crocheting or sewing to get involved to help them to exceed last year’s total. Soup & Sweet Soup & Sweet at Trinity Church, Hazel Farm Road, Totton, SO40 8WU takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 12.30pm to 2pm. Hythe will be ablaze with twinkling lights, when a host of beautifully decorated and illuminated Christmas trees ll St John’s Church for the annual Christmas Tree Festival. is fundraising event is organised by Hythe 2000, which supports the Smarties Parent & Toddler Group, Gateway IT For All and local primary schools – Hythe Primary and Waterside Primary – plus the church itself. e concept is simple: local groups, businesses, societies, families, friends and individuals are invited to bring an arti cial Christmas tree to the church before the festival and decorate it to a theme of their own choice. Trees can be themed to promote a particular cause, humorous, thought provoking, or just simply artistic. During the Festival visitors have the opportunity to bid for a tree using the silent auction form, at the end of the festival the winning bid will be noti ed, and they can collect their tree. We look forward to welcoming all of our di erent local groups as they display their trees for the enjoyment of our community at our annual Christmas Tree Festival. e trees, supplied, decorated and donated by your group will be available for viewing at St. John’s Church, Hythe from Saturday 25th November to Thursday 7th December.
