ASK A PROFESSIONAL Barratt Homes Supports Southampton’s ‘Sustainable’ Celebration A glittering evening celebrating the incredible achievements of organisations and individuals helping the country’s journey to net zero, was held in Southampton recently, and leading housebuilder, Barratt Homes, was Ambassador. e Big Sustainability Awards, organised by e Southern Sustainability Partnership and now in its 5th year, took place at Southampton’s Ageas Bowl. Attendees tucked into a 3-course meal as a panel of experts chose winners in ten highly impressive award categories. A ra e saw big prizes won, including top skin care, a round of Golf for two and a signed England shirt which was donated by Barratt Homes. ere was also entertainment and dancing until midnight. Host for the evening was the well-known author, broadcaster and television presenter, Fred Dinenage MBE, who recalled many anecdotes from his long TV career including the time he met Dame Julie Andrews. Barratt Homes, which is building sustainable properties across the region, and is committed to protecting the environment, was not only Ambassador for the event, but also sponsored the award for Energy Management Project of the Year. James Dunne, Barratt Homes Managing Director, Southampton Division, said: “It’s critical that more organisations take steps to become more sustainable, and these awards are highlighting the big players in that regard. At Barratt Homes sustainability is a top priority and it’s been fantastic to meet those other businesses which are making it theirs.
