Par tt & Son, Waterside Furnishings, e Frame Shop and Hythe & District Social Club. e event which tied in with the Mistletoe Fayre saw the Parade lined with stalls from local cra ers, music from Lymington Town Band, Hythe Primary School Choir and e Jingle Ladies, a tea cup ride for the children and free hot drinks and mince pies. Mince pies for the event were donated by both Tesco and Waitrose and local Councillor Mark Clark total of £123 raised, will be split between Prostate Cancer and the ladies cancer charity Look Good Feel Enjoying the teacups The Jingle Ladies performing at Merry in Marsh Parade donated £50 towards the cost of putting on the event. Donations made for refreshments on the day raised £73 and Lymington Town Band collected £50 in their bucket, the Better. The organisers would like to thank Tesco, Waitrose and Councillor Mark Clark for their kind donations, all the performers and stall holders and to all those that went along on the day to support Merry in Marsh Parade. 25th LOVE IN A BOX – THANK YOU From Carol Ibbotson A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Parish of Fawley ‘Love in a Box’ event. 2023 was our 25th year of taking part in this wonderful cause. 27 adults and children gathered at e Good Shepherd Church in Holbury on Saturday 21st October and spent a very enjoyable a ernoon wrapping and lling shoeboxes with Christmas gi s for children in Eastern Europe. e event was a great success due to the amazing amount of donations of knitted hats, teddies and gi s, and money towards transportation costs. e number of boxes made this year was 80. A further 26 boxes were contributed by Manor Church of England Infant School in Holbury. e boxes were collected from us at the end of October by the Mustard Seed Relief Missions Charity, who organise the event. ey were delivered to disadvantaged children in Moldova, in time for Christmas. ese gi s are very much appreciated and bring happiness to many children at a special time of year. ank you again to everyone involved.
