As families arrived they were welcomed by Jake Frost at his ice castle, which was made from over 2000 empty courtesy water bottles. From here everyone visited the Village of the Christmas Guardians, where as families, they undertook a series of challenges to collect the magic tokens of Christmas. When these tokens were placed in the wishing well outside the Ice Castle, the magic happened and it started to snow on all the children. Previous to their community Christmas event the team organised Merlin’s Museum of Monsters over the October half term and in 2024 are looking to vastly expand what they o er. “As a company, in addition to the event work we have undertaken for many years, we are proud to have been able to support local schools and charities with their will include a full range of activities including a holiday club, family fun day, Waterside’s got Talent competition, a Battle of the bands, family film festival and so much more. We are releasing our 2024 events programme soon. The team has felt truly humbled by all the positive feedback surrounding our community events. After acknowledging how expensive activities for families can get we wanted to provide a way that everyone could enjoy a range of activities together without it being cost prohibitive. From the responses we have received, we have achieved this. What a great community we live in! Putting on these community events would have not been possible without the support and encouragement of all the families who attended, the amazing team of actors, performers and crew, everyone who donated the thousands of empty courtesy water bottles and the incredible support of Applemore College and their new Headteacher, Clare Williams.” Unique Events Group.
